Question:
Can you tell me the minimum Pilot hole diameter rim that will fit this hub? I have a 5th wheel with 2 4400 lb Dexter ez-lube axles. Dexter part number 7763221 S/N 131137218 Capacity 4400 lbs I am assuming this is the exact same hub I have now I currenty have 15inch rims and I want to upgrade to 16inch rims and tires. I believe I will have good clearance. I am looking at new 16inch by 6.5inch alloy rims with the 6 on 5.5inch bolt pattern with pilot hole diameters of 3.75inch to 4.25inch center hole in wheel rim. Will choices in this range fit? Can a center cap still be used with a 3.75inch pilot hole rim? Similar to this in the correct size? LHCS108 Thanks your for your help

I went out to the warehouse and found that the largest part of pilot hole section on the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-407-5UC3-EZ was just over 3.5" so a wheel that has a pilot hole diameter in the range of 3.75" - 4.25" will fit perfectly with this assembly.
I don't see any problems using the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Center Cap # LHCS108 for this application as it's designed for wheels that have a 4.25" pilot hole diameter.
Attached is a link to all of our tire, wheel, and tire/wheel combos for a 16" wheel with the 6 on 5.5" bolt patterns that you can reference. Upgrading trailer tire sizes can be okay as long as you have at least 4" of height clearance to account for suspension travel, and 2" of clearance from the tire sidewall to the trailer frame.
