Updated 02/18/2020 | Published 02/17/2020

Question:

I have a 2014 camplite 14dbs. I have the jacks that came from the factory. Would like to have mounted jacks on camper that I can do both.

I have a solution for you but using any type of stabilizer jack to lift your camper is a no go. They are designed specifically to stabilize they are not rated for lifting. In most cases during storage it is not required to lift your wheels off of the ground they will generally keep their round shape as long as they're inflated properly and will be just fine when you pull it out for use.

We do have a storage option generally used for vehicles but that will work great if you are concerned with it and those are the Race Ramps FlatStoppers for Vehicle Storage - 3-3/8" Lift - 10" Wide - 6,000 lbs - Qty 4 part # RR-FS-10. These are often used when storing vehicles to keep the tires in great shape. You can see in the video below how we used them on a trailer. You will then run your stabilizers down to make contact with the ground and you've accomplished your goal.

The second more involved option would be a leveling and stabilizing system like the Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System - 10,000 lbs part # LC672136 This would be an involved installation process and is quite costly but is an option. I've included the video I did on the system and a link to the two recommendations for you to check out.

Unless you really really hate using your manual stabilizers I would go with the race ramps every time. Not that the TT system isn't awesome because it is but for what you're trying to accomplish it seems to be overkill. Happy Camping!!
