Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Blue Light When Installed on 2016 Chevy Colorado

Question:

Just installed my redarc controller on my 2016 colorado. With no trailer attached the blue light just does a quick flash when I hit the brake and thats it. If I push the button the the light will come on and then fade away. But it only comes on once. It does not keep breathing to signify its in tow mode. Is this correct?

It sounds like everything is working properly with the Redarc Tow Pro Elite # RED44FR on your 2016 Chevy Colorado.

If you note the attached section from the linked installation instructions (page 9) Redarc says that there isn't any kind of indication from the LED without a trailer connected. If you want to make sure that the LED is functional then you might connect your trailer to see if the LED comes on or not.
