Question:

I have a 2003 Fleetwood Storm 31-A and I need the cargo space where the spare tire/rim is now located. It has a 245-70-r19.5 tire mounted on the rim. I need to know if this product will hold the tire and if it will damage or bend the rear bumper? Also, I dont know the weight of the spare tire/rim.

First, you are going to want to check the motor home owners manual to determine if the bumper is rated for this sort of application. You will need to have a 4 inch square continuous welded steel bumper for the spare tire carrier # UF15-954730.

We have found that the tire alone weighs 77 pounds so this carrier is not going to work for you. If the motor home has a trailer hitch, you could use the Curt spare tire carrier # c31006. This carrier does not have an official capacity but can handle the weight of your spare. We know that it will hold a 33 inch tire and wheel.
