Question:
I am in the market for a canoe carrier, and I know Im going to need some tie downs. I have a 2011 Kia Soul+ . How do you attach these under the hood? Also, what do you suggest I use to tie the stern of my canoe down? Again, I have a 2011 Kia Soul+ Thank you very much for your time!

The vehicle anchor straps can be mounted using some existing locations under the hood of your 2011 Kia Soul or you could use your own hardware. They used an existing bolt to secure one end of the strap for # TH529.
For the back or another option for the front take a look at the etrailer Tie-Down Kit # e36ZR. This design has a foam tube that cannot be pulled out once the hood or hatch is closed. You will need a tie down kit and the # e36ZR would be a great choice.
I have included a link to a video of # TH529 and # e36ZR for you to view. For a carrier for the canoe itself, something simple like foam blocks, # MPG156, would work well for you. It also comes with some tie downs you can use.
