How Much Will Ground Clearance Be Reduced by Installing a Front Hitch on 2019 Honda Ridgeline
Published 01/15/2020 >
Question:
I'd like to install a front hitch on my 2019 Honda Ridgeline to help make parking my boat trailer easier, but I'm concerned that it will really limit the ground clearance. How far below the factory components will this hitch sit at the front of my truck?

We've had a few customers report back that the installation of a front hitch like the Curt # C31082, only sits about 1" below the factory installed components on the 2019 Honda Ridgeline, which means the difference is really going to be negligible. As long as you don't also use your truck for off-roading, that shortened clearance really shouldn't make a huge difference in your experience after installation. During installation you will likely need to either trim the front fascia/air dam or remove it altogether.
I've added a photo that shows what this hitch is going to look like installed on your truck, as well.
