Question:

I have a Trailer Valet XL with pneumatic tires. I quit using it because a tire failed while trying to move a trailer with 1000 lb tongue weight back, around, and up a curb ramp. With the imbalanced load, one tire spun up and cut its valve stem off, so I had to use my truck front hitch. So, now you offer the TVXL with solid tires, but you say that the new solid tires will not fit on the old TVXL. How do I get my old TVXL that i cannot use because of the defective pneumatic tire system fixed up with solid tires so that I can use it? I am a Saturday mechanic who is willing to use a wrench. Can you sell me the needed tire rims?

I reached out to Trailer Valet to get an answer for you, and they told me that the older Trailer Valet XL cannot swap out its pneumatic tires with the Replacement Solid Rubber Tire # TVXLSR. They went on to say that attempting to do this would remove the Valet from "warranty eligibility" which is a note I did want to pass along.

So while I know it's not the info you wanted to hear, the best option really is one of the new models of Trailer Valet with the new rubber tires, Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive - 2" Hitch Ball # TVXL2 or 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # TVXL25.
