Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for 2005 Ford F-250 With Short Bed

Question:
I have a Reese 15K 5th Wheel Hitch 30049. I have a short bed 2005 f-250 and I would like to replace the 30049 and does the pro series work with the existing rail system I have? I am getting a lot of play between the jaws and the king pin now.

The Reese Pro Series 5th Wheel Hitch 30049 fits industry standard bed rails like part # RP30035. And it's a good idea to upgrade if you are getting a lot of play between the jaws and the king pin. For a better hitch with an improved jaw system I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider # RP30051.
This hitch has a locking 2-jaw system which envelops the king pin on your 5th wheel trailer for a more secure connection and less play while you are towing. This is going to lead to a far more enjoyable towing experience.
