If it has a weight capacity and tong weight limit then why cant you tow a trailer or dolly that is under those limits? What is the reason you say it is not made for a trailer or tow dolly?

Expert Reply:
The company that designed the # RM-077-10 (Roadmaster) primarily works with vehicle flat towing which is what they intended this adapter for. The towing capacity of this is 10,000 lbs which refers to the weight of the vehicle being flat towed and the tongue weight capacity of 400 lbs refers to the weight it can carry with a hitch accessory in the upper hitch opening.
The most similar adapter we have would be the # MPG544 that can be used when towing or with a tow dolly.
