Is Gap Normal on Sides of Slipper Springs for Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit

Hello, I purchased Item # RM-2460-2570 and there are four wedged shaped spacers, where do they go as the instructions do not seem to indicate the location. Is it normal to have about a 3/16inch gap on either side of the spring when installed in the center box and the roller bolt is tighten? Thank you

It sounds like you didn't use the spacers that came with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers # RM-2460-2570 which would take up that 3/16" gap. If you check out the cutout from the linked instructions you can see that the spacers would be taking up the same gap you are talking about.
