Question:
Before I pay for an optional Rear View Camera on a new Arctic Fox trailer. how do I know if it will be compatible with a new GMC truck. Are there aftermarket options or should I purchase the option on the trailer. Getting this right will be much cheaper than marital counseling.

I have some information for you that I think will be helpful, and hopefully help you retain your marital bliss. In regards to knowing if the rear camera on an Arctic Fox trailer is compatible with your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500, the answer is that it's highly unlikely. Only Arctic Fox can answer that for sure, but what we do know is that there are currently no aftermarket wireless systems that are compatible with the factory monitor in your truck. Only the OEM IntelliHaul systems from GMC are compatible.
Still, there is a great aftermarket option, it will just require you to use a separate monitor:
- 4.3" Screen: Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS43TASF
- 5" Screen: Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS05TASF
These systems will give you a full view behind you, have a shaded design so glare in the bright sun won't be a problem, and also have infrared so you can use it without issue after the sun goes down. The camera is also waterproof so no matter the weather it will give you a durable, effective way to observe what is happening behind you.
The LCD screens on these systems give you a full color view and you can even adjust the brightness and color to your liking; they are also touchscreens, so they are really easy to use and come with two different mounts to choose from: a suction cup mount for your windshield or dashboard, or a mount for your dashboard that is a tabletop design.
