Instructions on Installing Drain Tube for Retrax Tonneau Cover on 2019 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
I am in the process of installing my new retrax aluminum cover on my 2019 Honda ridgeline. Can you direct me to the best option for routing the drain tubes? If I need to drill a hole, any recommendations on where and should I be concerned with corrosion? Any help would be greatly appreciated? I should mention that there do not appear to be any drain plugs in the bed floor. Thanks

Congrats on your recent purchase of an Aluminum Retrax tonneau cover, like the RetraxPRO MX # RT80502 or the PowertraxPRO MX # RT90502, for your 2019 Honda Ridgeline!
As you can see from the attached cutouts from the instructions, Retrax is a little vague when it comes to the installation of the drain tubes. That is simply due to each pickup being different so the drain tube install might vary slightly. Ultimately you just need to find an exit point (typically near the corner on the cab-side) and if there is something like a grommet or cover present (like in the first photo) you'll need to drill through the bed (like in the second photo). Since you'll be removing any kind of covering when drilling it is worth noting that you should cover any exposed metal pieces with some paint (like a spray paint or a paint marker) to help limit corrosion.
If you have any other questions during the install (or after) just let me know!
