My Clipper 17fq is rated 3568 loaded. I had the axle hit the frame. Can I move up to a 2500# and shocks. Tha axle is underslung now. Thanks

Yes, you can upgrade the leaf springs on a Coachmen Clipper 17FQ to a higher rated set just keep in mind the ride may be a bit stiffer. I have attached a list of our leaf spring options for you but if you can provide me with the unloaded eye to eye measurement I can then recommend a suitable replacement. The 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e44SR for example are rated for 2,500 lbs each and measure 25-1/4" eye to eye which is pretty standard.
The Lippert Components Bolt-On Shock Kit part # LC281255 could then be used to add shock absorbers or you would go with the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs part # TSS-106-40 which prevent bottoming out.
