Question:
I saw your answered question on the military trailer conversion already. I have the Dexter K71-650 already. My Johnson M353 trailer has a 1/4 brake line which I need to connect to the 3/16 hookup on the Dexter actuator. My problem is finding the right fitting. I just placed an order via phone for T4871700 but just looked at this fitting when I got home and my concern is that it wont fit the Dexter actuator I think the male thread is too long and wont fit the Dexter actuator. Could you confirm that T4871700 either fits, or if not, recommend different parts for me to successfully hook up the actuator?

Expert Reply:
The male thread of the Replacement Adapter Fitting # T4871700 being longer would not be an issue when installing it in the back of the Dexter actuator part # K71-650. Pressure from the male side flare fitting to the actuator is what seals it so the threads being longer would not be an issue.
