I’m having trouble getting the running lights to work on trailers the brakes an turn signals work but no running lights

The issue you are having is very common with Nissan vehicles as for some reason they just don't install the trailer running light relay in the vehicles consistently. So what you need is the the blue relay from the Curt Relay Kit for Nissan # C57000 which installs in a harness under the driver side dashboard to the left of the steering column.
