Can I Ground Trailer Lights To Trailer's Main Ground
Published 10/22/2019 >
Question:
Can I splice the ground wire on all of my new LED trailer lights into the common ground running through the 7 wire cable on my trailer or do I need to screw each lights grounds to the frame?

You can ground all of the trailer lights like part # MCL36AB to the main ground on the trailer. We normally recommend to attach the grounds to a clean bare metal surface of the trailer frame for a better connection. If you have ground issues after connecting the grounds to the main ground, I recommend to ground to the frame.
