Question:
I have the 2026 Subaru wilderness, I would like to install the new hitch with the wiring harness. I would like the wiring harness to have a seven pin connector as the trailer that I pulled has brakes. It is a small fiberglass camper and only weighs about 13 to 1400 pounds but I would still like to use the brakes that are on the trailer. Do you have an option for adding the seven pin connector and the brake controller. Thank you very much

Hey Thomas, we have the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56040 that is a fit for your 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness and would be what you'd need to start with for trailer wiring. This is a 4-way so to convert it to a 7-way and wire up a brake controller you would then need the part # ETBC7.
Then for a brake controller the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR is my favorite option to recommend. This only puts a small knob on the dash of your vehicle and it works really well.

This looks great. Now I have to digest it and see if I dare try to do this by myself. I certainly like the way it looks. Thanks again Tom.
