The best brake controller option for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is the Curt Echo Brake controller part # C51180 because of it's simple installation and ease of use. If you have the factory tow package on the 2020 Jeep Gladiator with the 7-way plug already installed then you simply plug the Curt Echo in line with the 7-way plug and pair it to your smart phone. You are then able to control the trailer brake settings via a smart phone app. I have attached a review video for your reference.
If you do not have the factory tow package with a 7-way already installed all you have to do is install a 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7L. The kit comes with a 7- way plug that needs to be grounded to the vehicle's frame and the black wire needs to be extended to the Jeep's battery via circuit breaker. Your existing 4-way connector will plug into the pig tail coming from the 7-way plug to power the trailer lights. The Curt Echo only needs 12V power from the battery to control the trailer brakes because of it's built in inertia sensor compared to other brake controllers that need to be wired to the vehicle's brake light switch. The smart phone app eliminates the need for a boxy brake controller on the dash of your brand new Jeep.
If you do not have a 4-way connector, I recommend T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118786.
