Product came in a timely manner. Order was complete however screws came loose in an unmarked box so no way of checking to see if they were ACQ rated.
Bored 70 holes though steel crossmembers with no reduction in cutting ability.
Very fast shipping. Products arrived as described and were exactly what I needed.
Hitch installation would have been very difficult without this tap. Good quality product.
Very sharp and worked well until unexpected failure by breakage in 2x8 after first few holes in angle stock. Company promised replacement or refund.
Fast shipping and exactly what I needed. Website has a lot of useful information that I found to be very helpful.
I've used these screws before. High quality and suited for AC2 treated lumber. As usual, etrailer is the go-to source for product selection, information and rapid fulfillment of orders,
Product was Exactly as described plus came in a timely manner also as stated. Not my first order with etrailer every time was pleased with transaction.
The tap & drill received did the job as needed. It was needed for a hitch purchased as the nuts in the frame were corroded.
THANK YOU for yor help. James Watkins
Product seems great. Service was great. Quick reasonable delivery. Bought new hitch and all accessories from them and everything looks good. Thanks
All of the drill bits I bought snapped off in the metal. I had to drill new holes and buy more drill bits else where in order to finish my project.
I have ordered multiple times from etrailer.com in which they have never let me down. Shipping is really fast most time only two days out. They are defiantly my go to when it comes to all my trailer repair needs.
I ordered 3 bits expecting one to break. Used only one drill bit and torque bit. The screws were awesome and it took 3 hours to mount the new deck boards on my trailer. Great service!
The tap is fine but you're better off buying local.Reason being you dont need the drill bit.If they included a T handle to turn the tap or an adapter so you could use the tap with a ratchet drive instead it would make far more sense.I bought it anyway since the local hardware stores are all closed due to the virus and buying online elsewhere would have cost more with the shipping charges.
Ease of shopping, great communication, and safe, accurate shipment of product was excellent. Great company, great service!
Quality of the screws was top notch.
But the two 7/32” titanium drill bits , in my opinion, were substandard for the job. I’ve been in construction over 38 years and have drilled a ton of holes in all kinds of metal. Both of these bits failed the task.
Overall, I’d definitely be shopping here for my next trailer needs.
Drill bit was ok. It didn't keep it's edge long, and I actually broke both I bought after only 3-4 holes in 1/4 cross members. That was with going slow and using cutting oil on each hole. After that I went and searched through my existing drill bits, and found another 7/32" one to use. Not sure what the one I found was made it of, but I proceeded to drill 20+ more holes with it and never had a breakage or hint of dullness appear. Not sure what this one was made of, but it could've been made of a lot higher quality.
I needed to replace the floorboards on my utility trailer and did not have a local source for the torx head screws to replace the old ones. A quick search of the internet led me to etrailer and another online retailer. I quickly realized the the plated screws from etrailer were what I needed and I could buy the exact number I needed. They also had the torx bits and drill bits. They were shipped the same day I sent my order in and their follow up was quick and thorough. Mine was a small order and I would not hesitate to recommend this company.
It was fine. did exactly as you described. Installing hitch tomorrow.
is was ok for drilling wood. It lost its metal drilling ability almost immediately. I had to get better quality replacement bits from the local hardware store. I would not recommend this drill bit for metal work of any kind.
The reviews for etrailer are all 5 stars for a reason. Between the customer service, quick shipping, and helpful videos, this beats that other website hands down. Brush worked well, but wasn’t enough. I ordered the tap kit and ran it through the threads. Note: use 1/4” ratchet to carefully tap threads slowly. I used a drill on one of the threads and it seemed like the bolt is lose in the threads now. Maybe the drill was too aggressive. Long story short, if I EVER need anything trailer related, I’m coming HERE!!
I ordered a trailer hitch and several other items that I needed for the install from etrailer. I will not get a chance to do the install for a week or so; but I have to comment on the delivery. My package arrived in just a few days. I get lots of items shipped to me; but just the care that was taken in the packaging really impressed me. The smaller items all came neatly packaged in a separate box within the shipping container. All items were securely packaged so there was no shifting or rattling. The outside box was heavy cardboard with a perfectly placed lifting handle. I've checked all the items out and everything is there, and the quality of all the products is excellent. I have no doubt that I will be pleased with the outcome of the install itself. Very impressive so far. I will likely be ordering more products from this company in the future.
This was my first experience using a tapping tool, which in this case was to clear and thread an unused hole in the frame of my Toyota which allowed me to insert the bolt required for my trailer hitch. I already possessed the handle needed to turn the bit. Delivery was prompt & the product performed well
Product fit perfectly. The video was excellent and I would not have purchased the product without seeing how simple the install was. I also bought 12 Mm X 1.25 Tap And Drill Bit and was glad I did. It made cleaning out accumulates rust in bolt holes easy. Bolts lined up perfectly without adjustment some others needed.
Only issue I ran into was that the plastic housing on the drivers side would not go back on once hitch was installed. 15 minutes worth of cutting out a small section of that with tin snips did the trick.
Exactly what was needed before installing the torx screws into the trailer frame. The only issue was that the old screws did not come out; had to take those off even with the frame using an angle grinder and cut-off wheel. Twice, while drilling, I ran into what was left of the old bolts. One of those trips snapped off the end of the bit. Otherwise, no issues, and I'm glad I had two drill bits (to install 32 screws).
