Question:
Ive just tried to install a couple of these into my hub but the process is damaging either the nut or the stud itself. Im using the washer method and putting multiple washer between a lug nut and the hub then tightening the nut drawing the stud into the hub. this seems to work with a bit of effort but then when loosening the nut, its extremely difficult to back out and when I finally get it off, the stud threads are damaged and unusable.... is there a better method to install these that youd recommend ? or is it that theres possibly else wrong with the nuts/studs ? I can send along a pic if needed.

It sounds like you are using a lug nut on the wheel stud # 165995 that has either damaged threads or a similar but different thread size which is destroying the stud. My brother had this happen to him once with a car and it took him a while to realize since the threads were pretty close. The size of the lug nuts you'd need to use is 1/2 inch diameter with 20 threads per inch like the # 12CLN.
