Will the SeaSucker Mini Bomber Carry Tandem Bikes?

Question:

Hi, Im considering getting a SeaSucker Mini Bomber Roof 2 Bike Rack. Id like to use it to haul two tandem bikes, each weighing about 35 pounds. My primary vehicle is a 2018 Honda Odyssey with a sunroof, but Id also like to use it on rental cars while travelling. I have two questions. Do you think the rack can safely hold two tandem bikes? Will the racks suckers fitinch between the windshield and the sunroof? Id rather not affix the suckers to the sunroof. Thanks

I checked with SeaSucker and they confirmed that you will be able to use the Mini Bomber # 298-BM2006 to carry tandem bikes provided that they are under 45-lbs each/90-lbs total -which yours are. You won't want to put the suction cups on the sunroof portion of your vehicle because the 2 bikes will likely exceed the safe limit that the glass can hold, but you will be able to mount the cups in front of, or behind the sunroof depending on how much space you need.

To keep your bikes secure you may want to consider adding the SeaSucker Window Mounted Cable Lock Anchor # 298-BA0010 and a cable lock similar to # e98891 .
