Question:
Hi, I just installed item Curt 56293 to my range rover sport 2015 and it was super easy, and that provided me with basic trailer lighting. Now I want to install the Curt Echo brake controller and that require 7 pin connection, but the item 56293 that I installed provided me with 4 way flat connection, if I used item ETBC7L to convert 4 way to 7 pin connection, do I need to wire the blue wire to output wire on brake controller, and the black wire to battery with fuse for 12V power source or terminate them or use simple 4 way to 7 adaptor. Thanks

In order to use the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 on your 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport with a Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56293, the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7L is just what you need for this. In regards to installation, the only wires you must attach are the white ground wire and the black battery charge wire. The black battery charge wire is what powers the Curt Echo so you will need to run this up to the vehicle's battery but the blue brake output and yellow reverse wires can just be capped off.
