Will the RhinoRack Nautic 580 Side Load Kayak Carrier Mount to a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform?

Question:
The Rhino Rack Pioneer uses C Channels so I assume that these will mount to it. Can anyone verify?

Yes, the Rhino-Rack Nautic 580 # RR580 will mount to a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform like the # RR42111BF , but it won't mount into the channels. Instead you will need the 24" Accessory Bars # RR43232B that run across the platform, since the channels usually run from the front to back of the vehicle. The 24" accessory bars will run only part of the way across the platform to allow you free use of the rest of the rack, but if you wanted to run them all the way across you can get longer accessory bars in 48" - part # RR43119B or 54"- part # RR43120B (depending on the width of your Pioneer Platform). I've attached a picture to show you how the accessory bars work to mount the Nautic 580.
Another cool add-on that you may want that will allow you to roll your kayak on from the back of your vehicle is the Ladder Roller # RR615 -which can work in conjunction with the Nautic 580. If you've got a different width on your Pioneer Platform, let me know and I can recommend the appropriate sized bars.
