Depth of Hook Mechanism From End of BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap

Question:

I have a small eye on the front of my sailboat and need to know the distance from the font edge of this mechanism to the back edge of the hook part itself that goes through the eye on the boat to figure out if it will give me enough clearance to hook into the eye. The thickness cross section of the eye is 5/16inch and the inside eye diameter is 5/8inch and the distance from the boat to the back edge of the inside of the eye is 3/8. Probably sounds confusing but this is the best I can describe what I need to know.

I believe I understand what you are asking for on the BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap # IMF17741 and the dimension is 5/8 inch. Since it's harder to describe like you mentioned I attached a picture that has this dimension as well. If you were looking for something else let me know!
