There are a few possible reasons as to why the right turn signal on your tow vehicle is causing the left tail light on your trailer to blink but most likely there's a simple crossing of wires on the trailer or a short on the vehicle.
What I first recommend doing is taking a circuit tester like # PTW2979 to test the pins on your vehicle side connector. Test the pin for the right turn/brake signal on the connector while you have that function activated on the vehicle. If you don't get power there, but DO get power at the left turn/brake pin then you know the problem is on the vehicle side. If you get power at the appropriate pins though the issue is on the trailer.
If you find that the problem is on the trailer I recommend visually inspecting the trailer side connector for any debris or corrosion that could be bridging the two circuits togoether, cleaning out as needed. Then it's just a matter of tracing the wires from the connector back to the tail lights to make sure they are connected to the correct light assemblies. Also look for any exposed sections of wiring that could be making contact with the other circuit along the way.
If the issue is on the vehicle side again inspect the connector itself for debris/corrosion and then make sure you have the correct connections between the trailer harness and the tail light circuit wiring. You can use the circuit tester again to make sure you are spliced into the right factory wires.
If you continue to have this problem please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.
