Required Roof Thickness For MaxxAir MA00-04000K RV Roof Vent Fan
Published 08/29/2019 >
Question:
The roof of my pop up camper is 1/2” thick. Will this fan work?

Expert Reply:
The MaxxAir # MA00-04000K is intended for roofs 2-6 inches thick, so it wouldn't work well right out of the box for you. However, this is an extremely common issue that'e easily overcome by using some lumber to built a frame around the inside of the rough opening to increase the roof thickness. The frame also provides a good solid attachment point for the fan's mounting hardware. If you click the provided link, you can see a product description video featuring this fan.
