What is Cable of Valterra Waste Body Valve Made From
Updated 08/26/2019 | Published 08/23/2019 >
Question:
On 10/25/18 Robert J stated a difference between these 2 products regarding the cable on them. How are they different? Is the cable a solid flexible rod inside the sheathing or a twisted wire cable inside the sheathing that came original with mine that I don't like. Thanks

The cable of the Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable for RV Black Water Tank - 72" # TC372 is made from steel wire and it has a protective coating as opposed to some type of rod. The cables are going to be similar from both manufacturers - steel wire with a coating - but you are correct that people seem to like the Valterra better. The reason they have to be the same type (wire and coating) is that it allows the cable to flex, giving people much better options for installation.
I have added a link to a video review of the Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable # TC372 for you to check out as well.
