Does Flat-Towing a Vehicle Effect Resale Value

Question:
Does advancing of odometer while flat towing vehicle affect resale
asked by: Dave
Expert Reply:
I am by no means an expert on the resale value of a vehicle but if the odometer racks up miles while in tow then knowing what we know about the value of a vehicle in that the higher the mileage the lower the value, it is safe to assume it will negatively effect resale value. That said, many vehicles do not rack up miles while in tow unless the vehicle has a manual odometer then that is not the case. There are however ways around this such as using a tow dolly like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes part # RM-2050-1.
