Question:

Hi. 2017 Prius. Recently purchased two electronica vice weighing approximately 50 to 60 pounds each. As I am researching bike racks to handle my two electronica bikes, I’m trying to find compatibility between a bike rack but I can afford and a hitch that will fit my 2017 Prius and be able to handle the weight of the two electronica bikes. Can you guide me with an affordable bike rack option and also what options do I have for hitches for my Prius? Thank you for your help.

I am not sure how much you are looking to spend but bike racks that are capable of handling the weight of two electric bikes are not going to be cheap because they must be built much stronger. However, we do have an excellent option for you in the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack part # SA4412B which is one of the most cost effective options for two electric bikes. The Saris Freedom is also very lightweight at only 22-1/2 lbs so it is easy to take on and off the vehicle, it has a unique set of frame clamps that rid the need for an adapter bar with alternative frame bikes, and it is very durable as implemented by its lifetime warranty.
