Brake Controller Power Wire Connection Location on a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup

Question:

2012 chevy. installed agility on my truck according to inst. pulled blunt cut wires from under dash soldered connections. the blck/red striped wire seems to be connected to a stud on the drivers side fuse block. it IS HOT. inside the cab it is NOT. Different wire?can i start from scratch with my own wires?

It sounds to me like the 12 volt wire you found attached to the stub at the power distribution box under the hood on your 2012 Chevrolet Silverado is the 12 volt power wire for the 7-Way trailer connector at the rear of the truck.

The power wire for the brake controller should be located between the power distribution box and the fender well. I recently took a photo of these wire locations on a 2012 Suburban that should help you locate your brake controller power wire, see link.
