Should Curt TriFlex Brake Controller Show Output Voltage Without Trailer Connected
Published 07/26/2019 >
Question:
Hello, I had my dealership install this break controller on my 2019 Chevy Colorado. It didn’t work at first, nothing was shown on the display when a trailer was connected. After they fixed it, it now displays the power output every time the break is pressed even with no trailer connected, Is this normal? The display will blink with the power setting 0.6 at the low end setting or whatever I have it set to with every break press. Should I bring it back to them again, was it wired correctly? Thanks.

That is normal operation. I reached out to my contact at Curt who said that the TriFlex # C24VV will display the amount of braking power output you have set on the controller no matter if a trailer is connected or not.
