Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13146 will fit a 2017 Acura MDX with T165/80-17 spare tire. This trailer hitch is a custom fit, no drill option. I have attached an install photo and video for you.

First I would like to ask if there is an option for hitch that does not hang below lower valance trim piece. I have 2017 MDX, prior was 2012 MDX and I installed hitch which required some modification to lower valance (a cut-out) but finished with a more factory look. Lastly, if the only option is to hang below, what is final ground clearance?

All three custom trailer hitches available for your Acura MDX feature the same design as the Curt # C13146 (hidden crosstube with the 2" receiver hanging just below the bumper). There aren't any options that protrude through the fascia. From the ground to the top of the receiver we measured a distance of right at 14" when it was installed on this model MDX.

@ChrisR Thanks for your response. I ordered the matte finish option hitch. Waiting now for delivery. Additionally, I ordered the hollywood trail rider bike rack. Looks, however, that the bike rack is not a 2" tube (like the hitch)? Will this be unstable, even with the supplied adapter?? Hoping I didn't err on the bike rack.

@Mark No problem! If you ordered the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z, it will work great with the 2" hitch receiver. This rack is compatible with both 1-1/4" and 2" receivers - you won't have to worry about instability.
