Can RV Backup Camera System Be Used as an Observation System

Question:
Can back up cameras be used as observation cameras? My dads rv is large and he’s looking for a camera he can leave on so he can watch traffic behind him

Yes, a backup camera system like the Furrion Vision S # FOS43TASF that you were looking at can absolutely be used as an observation system. It is just a matter of connecting the power wire to the appropriate source. If you want to re-wire your dad's camera for use as an observation system you will just need to disconnect it from the RV's reverse light circuit wire and connect it instead to one that has more constant power such as the running lights circuit.
