Installation of Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on 2018 Subaru Forester

Question:
Hi I recently received and installed the Drawtite 76182, and I had a question about the fit. When installed it fit pretty tight against the spare wheel well that it actually scraped off some of the undercoating. Also with it mounted it looks like its pushing hard against the rear-most muffler hanger bracket. Im concerned that it could break off over time. Is this common for this hitch? Thanks in advance,

I have added a link to a video of the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 76182 being installed on a 2018 Subaru Forester for you to check out, and as you can see by the video - as well as the photo of the underside of the hitch which is on the product page - this hitch does fit very snugly with the spare tire.
It is also going to set near the muffler bracket and so long as you have properly re-installed the exhaust hangers there is no reason to think it will break off.
