Troubleshooting Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller that Only Shows Red Display

Question:

My Tekonsha P3 device display now only displays in red. The device seems to work as designed but I cannot get the display to change back to its proper colour.

That's a pretty odd issue to have with the Prodigy P3 part # 90195. Try unplugging it for a few seconds and then plugging it back it as a hard reset might get it to work like it's supposed to.

I have the same issue. Despite setting it to other colours it defaults back to the red screen. Did unplugging it solve the problem?

I reached out to my contact at Tekonsha and he said the internal mechanism responsible for the color change is likely damaged and the unit just needs to be replaced. This would be covered under warranty.
