On many Nissan vehicles like your 2016 Pathfinder, there is actually a third blue relay that needs to be installed in order for the trailer running light circuit to be activated. The running light relay is located in the relay harness behind the passenger floor board kick panel like what you see in the attached picture.
For the needed relay you can use one of the blue relays from the Curt Relay Kit # C57000.
