I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler unlimited with a Roadmaster base plate. I want to use a blue ox tow bar with it and wondering if the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Standard, EZ and XL Base Plates Adapter Item # BX88178. would replace the quick disconnect bar on my Jeep. The reason Im sure is because the posts on the RoadMaster is 29inch and the product info on the Blue Ox says 24. The Roadmaster tow bar I was using was the Sterling.

The Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Adapter part # BX88178 will allow you to use a Blue Ox Tow Bar like the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar part # BX7380 on your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited if you have the "Crossbar-Style" Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit like part # 1430-1. If you have the "Direct-Connect" Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit like part # RM-521448-5 then you will want to use the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Adapter part # BX88185 instead.
The Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Adapter would then attach directly to the Roadmaster Base Plate Kit, replacing the quick-disconnects that you used for the Roadmaster Tow Bar. The connection point spacing will be moved in from 29" to 24" while using the above.
