How Much PSI Should Trailer Tire Increase When Heated Up from Highway Use
Published 06/13/2019 >
Question:
I have Westlake 235/85R16/G on my Cedar Creek 5th Wheel. Tire Pressures in the Summertime rise 10 -15 psi, with One tire a tire that is under the frig going even higher which set off our TPM. I know tire pressure naturally rise when in use, but, my question is, what is the allowable increase ?

While there isn't a hard number on how much PSI increase is safe when tires heat up from highway use I can give you some guidelines that will give you some peace of mind.
So what you need to do is inflate the tires to their max psi rating when cold (first thing in the morning) and as long as you are under the weight capacity and speed rating the fluctuations of the the tire pressure due to heat will be safe and you won't have to worry about it.
Since you have the tire part # LHWL410 the weight capacity per tire is 4,400 lbs at 110 psi and the speed rating is 75 mph. As long as you are at 110 psi when cold and under speed and weight capacity you are fine. You might see if you can increase the PSI alert on your TPM too.
I attached a link to a trailer tire FAQ for more info for you to check out as well.
