Troubleshooting Furrion Observation Camera Monitor Goes Black When Truck is Shifted Into Reverse

Question:
When we put the truck in reverse the trucks back up camera comes on not the furrion The furrion screen goes black. We get a picture of the hitch. Any way to correct that

Because the Furrion monitor goes black it appears the camera either loses power or the monitor does when you shift into reverse. I recommend testing the wires using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check for power when shifted in reverse.
The Furrion camera will use the running light circuit on your trailer, so it is possible there is corrosion in the connection that could be cleaned using sandpaper or a bad ground on your trailer that using sand paper to give a bare metal to metal connection would remedy.
A final option is if the truck camera has a wireless connection it may be interrupting the transmission signal of your Furrion.
I haven't' heard of this issue before, but that is where I'd start. Let me know if you have further questions.
