Can the Clearance Light # MCL32ATB be Ran to Two Wire Trailer Wiring
Published 06/07/2019 >
Question:
LED Clearance and Side Marker Light w/ Turn and Reflector - 3 Diodes - White Base - Amber Lens Item # MCL32ATB We have an 02foot Damon Intruder on a workhorse chassis. It has a side marker light, that also acts side turn signal. I need to replace either the light asmby or just the bulb. Can not ID the bulb however. My light only has 2 wires!.. Same on both sides. Sylvania 168 lights I bought sorta work, but when marker/headlights are on, and use the turn signal, it blinks very slow yet when headlights/tail lights are OFF, they blink normal. I had one burn out so I replaced it with the 168 bulbs. Now, will YOUR turn signal side marker, MCL32ATB still work with just 2 wires?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The two wires of your current wiring carry the turn signal on one and the running lights on the other while grounding through the mounting hardware of the light. To use the # MCL32ATB on a setup like this requires you to run the white wire of the assembly to the mounting hardware of the light and you'd be set. The white wire of the assembly is the ground wire and when ran to the mounting hardware the ground is complete.
