Question:
Is there any reason there are so few and in some cases none at all class 5 or even 4 ball mounts that have no /rise or just half an inch or even 1? I lost 3inch in height going to OEM tires on my towing vehicle. I had been using a 4inch drop. By my math that means I need a 1inch - which seemingly do not exist for my class 5 hitch. I can go class 4 I have the sleeve from etrailer - but even then I cant find much if any ion. Im not sure what a 1inch hook-up too high or too low looks like, but Im betting its not safe and isnt great for the trailer or the towing vehicle.

If the top of your hitch ball is about an inch different in height than the top of your coupler this is actually okay. You are 100% correct that it is important to have your hitched trailer level, but starting out with the hitch ball very slightly higher or lower is not a concern. You do not see many fixed ball mounts with 1-inch or rise or drop for this reason.
If you wish you can use an adjustable Class V 2-1/2-inch ball mount like # FA49-00-5625.
