The Roadmaster Even Brake Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 features an inertia sensor that activates the towed vehicle's brakes based on deceleration. When you hit the brakes in your RV or otherwise slow down, the system automatically applies a proportionate amount of power to the brakes in the towed vehicle (a light tap on the brakes in the RV gives you a light tap inside the towed vehicle while slamming on the brakes in the RV will trigger the same amount of braking force in the vehicle).
The Even Brake also features a breakaway system that will apply full power to the towed vehicle brakes if it were to be disconnected and a monitor that you will mount inside the RV that you can use to stay updated on braking activity or any potential issues.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out as well.
