For your 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth, I recommend the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 522013-1A for your base plates. This is a customized fit for your car and will work perfectly with the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522. Then you will use safety cables # RM-643 and you may want the tow bar cover # RM-055-3 for storage when not connected to your Fiat.
For your tow bar to vehicle wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will use your factory vehicle taillight wiring for stop and turn signals as well as running lights and protect your electronics at the same time. Then I recommend the charge line kit # RM-156-25 to maintain your vehicle battery while towing
You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the preferred systems for our installers and what I recommend is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO proportional system, # SM99251. It will apply the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
Be sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle. I have included some helpful links to articles on flat towing for you along with some installation videos and installation details for these recommended products to help.
