Both the Curt Class III Hitch Receiver # 13534 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75586 are confirmed to fit your 2008 Toyota Highlander Sport and feature 2 inch receivers that will sit pretty much in the same location beneath the rear bumper on the vehicle.
There are a few differences between the two models other than the brand name and this is one of those cases where the best unit will depend on your specific application and what your Highlander is equipped with.
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75586 will be your best option if you plan on mostly using the hitch to secure accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier. This is because unlike with the Curt model, Draw-Tite does not require the use of additional support straps when attaching non-trailer loads. These can be a bit of a pain to install and it's something that Curt requires on this particular hitch to maintain its warranty. The receiver on the Draw-Titch will also sit just slightly further towards the rear of the vehicle which simply makes it easier to attach and remove a bike rack or cargo carrier.
The Curt Class III Hitch # 13534 is what you will need though if your Highlander is equipped with the full size spare tire beneath the vehicle. This is because the Curt hitch will allow you to keep it in place while the Draw-Tite would require its removal to make room for the brackets. The Curt hitch is also made right here in the USA and has a slightly higher tongue weight capacity of 750 pounds (compared to 500 pounds on the Draw-Tite).
Both hitches have identical 5,000 pound towing weight capacities.
I have attached an installation video for each trailer hitch as well that you can take a look at.
