Question:
Hi, How do I measure for the standard type of aluminum steps for a 5th wheel? I currently have a 3 step steel but want to replace them. I may want to go to 4 steps if I can.

When measuring for a standard aluminum (or any material) set of RV steps you want to measure from center of bolt hole on one bracket to bolt hole on the other bracket of your existing steps. You can also measure the width of the doorway of the RV (where the steps install) if you are not able to measure the existing steps.
We do offer RV steps with 4 steps but you would have to make sure you have the ground clearance for an extra step. You want to measure from the bottom of the doorway to the ground and compare that measurement to the measurement of the new steps. For Example,Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs part # SMFP-4400 measures 28-1/2" wide and works on 28" entry heights.
