Question:
Hi guys, Im trying to add electric trailer brakes to my 2001 Starcraft 2101 pop up camper. Heres what I know: Hub 5spoke pattern with 4.5inch tires are 13x4.5 spindle #84 Bearings are L44649 and L68149 Ive figured that Item # BK2-100 is the right bearing kit. Dexter trailer has 4-bolt mounting flange holes are 2 7/8inch on center Axle is 2800 max weight rating Ive been reading through all the QandA and looking at parts, but I think Ill order something wrong. Can you steer me right on the full kit? Also, wiring adapter for trailer side vehicle is already set with 7-pin adapter and trailer brake. Thanks much!!

I have exactly what you need to add electric brakes to your 2001 Starcraft M-2101 and have attached a list of these parts for you below:
Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K (2)
Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35-SA (Self-Adjust) or part # AKEBRK-35 (Manual Adjust)
Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit part # HS381-9000
Hopkins Engager Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit part # 20099
Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160
In regards to self-adjust vs. manual adjust, the self-adjust brakes will automatically adjust for even pad wear whereas the manual adjust brakes will need to be adjusted every season by hand. I have attached a list of install and review videos on all of the above parts for you as well.
