Question:
I have a Ram 1500 and although i have a WD hitch and have had it checked for configuration the back end still sags. I was thinking of adding airbags just for sag, nothing more. How do i know how much air to add before readjusting my WD hitch.

There is not a predetermined method for adjusting the psi when using air bags on your 2015 Ram 1500 with a weight distribution hitch; the answer is really just adding air and testing different levels so you can find the right psi. The good news is you should really only have to do this one time because once you find the right psi you can go back to that setting after having made the adjustments. You are going to want to set up your weight distribution hitch first and then inflate the air bags to get the right combination.
The best option for an air bag system on your 2015 Ram 1500 is the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57365 because they can be adjusted individually from 5 psi to 100 psi to help compensate for off-center loads and have a 5,000 lb load-leveling capacity, which will be more than enough to work with your weight distribution system.
As a note, air bags will only fit your '15 Ram 1500 so long as you do not have the factory Air Suspension system (which I assume you do not as you are asking about air bags) and you need at least 8-1/8” between the jounce bumper strike plate and the vehicle frame. If you take a look at the accompanying photo that says "Minimum height for Ram 1500 Kit" you can see what you'll need to measure.
Additionally, I strongly recommend a compressor kit because this will allow you to very easily inflate your air bags to the pressure you want and not have to manually adjust every time you tow.
The Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000 has a wireless remote control which allows you to adjust the air pressure in each bag from the comfort of your truck's cab. It also has programmable psi settings so once you find that perfect air pressure with the Air Lift LoadLifter # AL57365 you can simply hit a button and go back to that setting.
I have added links to a couple video reviews for you to check out on the air bags and compressor.
