How To Select The Right Awning Size For Slideout

Question:

I want to buy awnings for my sliders. Should I be using the exact roof measurements or the end to end measurements on the slder flange sealsblack Thanks

When choosing the slider you want to measure the outside front of box width including the flange. Then you need to select a slider that extends a minimum of 2-1/2 inches beyond each side of the box width.

For example, the Black Solera Slider # LCV000165061 is 156 inches wide and is designed to fit a box that measures 146 to 151-3/4 inches.

I would like to buy a Solera slide topper. My slide, including the flanges trim on the box is 97 1/2. The box without the flat trim is 92. It sounds like the 8 foot 7 slide topper would be the correct one? The 8 foot, 1 wouldnt have any overhang. Is my thinking correct?

For your slide topper, you will definitely want the overhang to keep water and debris out. We determine the correct size but measuring the slide including the flanges so you will want to go with the 97-1/2 inch measurement you gave. All that to say you are correct...you will want # LCV000168108 for a black topper or # LCV000163290 for a white topper.

Based on the measurements you provided you would need the Solera # LCV000168109 (Black) or # LCV000163300 (White) for your larger slide-out and the Solera # LCV000165062 (Black) or # LCV000163287 (White) for the smaller slide-out.

My box, flange to flange is 145 inches. It only extends 18 1/2 inches. What size topper do I need and will one that extends 50 inches work or be too big?

In terms of width, the right Solera Slide Topper is part # LCV000177334 for Black or # LCV000163298 for White. Any fabric that's not actually extended out will just stay stored inside the channel, so there's not really a minimum length required. This will work just fine with your shorter box. There aren't any shorter slide toppers available.

Going from largest to smallest on your camper, you'll need the Solera Topper # LCV000168109 (Black) or # LCV000163300 (White), # LCV000177334 (Black) or # LCV000163298 (White), and # LCV000165062 (Black) or # LCV000163287 (White).

I have exactly 3" from the top of my slide to install the rail for a slide topper awning. Will this work? Can you recommend a awning that will work for a slide that is 112 3/4" flange to flange?

At minimum there needs to be 3" of clearance between the top of your slide-out and any existing components like a bracket or gutter for the Solera Slide-Toppers to install and operate. As long as you truly have 3" of space, it will work. For a 112-3/4" flange to flange measurement you'll want the Solera Solide-Topper Black # LCV000251461 or White # LCV000163292.

Hello,I just looked at the E trailer info you had online .I have an Artic Wolf 285DRL4 5th wheel .I have 3 slide outs and want to add the toppers.I have a question on how to size correctly and would like reccommendations. The sizes from flange to flange are 148" ,121 1/2",and 84". With color scheme i believeblack would be the color. Thanks
