I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport 3.7 and was wondering if this hitch is a match.

We have a Class III trailer hitch from Curt that is confirmed to fit your 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport, but it's not the Curt hitch part # C13902.
The Curt Class III Hitch that fits the Jeep Liberty is part # 13044. Although the Curt hitch you referenced part # C13902 is rated for more tongue weight it does not increase the tongue weight capabilities of the Jeep. I took a look at the owner's manual and the highest rated 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs.
If the Jeep needs trailer wiring, I recommend Tekonsha Wiring harness part # 118381 if the Jeep has a factory 7-way. If the Jeep does not have the factory 7-way, I recommend part # C55382.
