Troubleshooting Error Code of 2016 Toyota Tundra After Bypassing Factory Controller

Question:

I installed a Tekoshna Prodigy 3 brake controller in my 2016 Toyota Tundra. I disconnected the factory brake controller and plugged in the Tekoshna with the Toyota connector. Now, I have a NO TRAILER BRAKE WARNING on my trucks display. Is this common and how do I get rid of it?

That issue is going to be fixed by unplugging the vehicle battery for a minute then plugging it back in. Your factory brake controller's error messages were connected to the dash display you have on the truck so since the controller is no longer connected it's sending a fault message to the dash of your truck.
